Christmas Pudding Hat

 Christmas Pudding Novelty Hat

Unlike the Novelty Christmas hat posted last week, this one is much better

Being better probably has more to do with its simple shape, which makes ok to wear and allows my head to form the pudding shape.

People also recognise it as a Christmas pud, and if not it says Merry Christmas on the front so people still get it.

Ho Ho Ho, merry Christmas

Brussel Sprout Hat

This is a Novelty Brussel Sprout Hat

A gift from Christmas last year

Novelty hats are always cheap and throw-away quality, they are fun for about a minute so don't want much, something people will recognise and something that stays on your head and in shape.

This hat failed, most people needed to be told it was a brussel sprout and it also needs a bit of pulling to stay in shape.

As was a gift no idea if this was cheap, I mean  £2 or £3 pounds, £5 would be way too much.

Cat in a Hat

A Secret Santa gift turned out to be a Christmas cat hat and collar

As you can see by my cat expression he was not pleased to made to look foolish, cats are too cool for that.

The hat sort of managed to stay on for a few minutes, long enough for a few photos

Another attempt at a cat in hat photo.

I did have to try it myself.

Christmas Novelty Hat

This is a hat for Christmas only.

A basic beanie with a pompom on top

Patterned like a Santa costume.

Then for added jollity, a white fleece beard mask hung from the front.

I was given this as Christmas gift and will wear it, also will make my Facebook avatar for this December.

The beard is detachable held in place with a couple of press-studs and in my opinion looks better without it, although that is probably not the point of this hat.

Hats for Christmas

I've received 3 hats this year for Christmas (so far)

A marvellous and ridiculous yellow beret with a green stalk from Lorna

A quality heavy leather tricorn from Rich and Amy

A silly Christmas bobble hat with an integrated beard from the Linda, Andy, Katie, Christopher and Belle the cat

Thank you all, love getting gifted hats.

On the 3rd day of Christmas, another hat arrived (a flat cap), from AndyH photo below

Christmas Tree Hat

This cheap festive hat is a perfect replacement for the typical Santa hat

It has one downside, it malts tinsel everywhere, I've tried giving it a big shake even a vacuum, but still does not stop random bits of tinsel falling off everywhere

On the upside, you can take the hat off, leave it on a shelf, desk, dashboard and you also have great static Christmas decoration.

Just noticed the star on top of the tree is twisted, so can't be seen in any of these photos.

Baubles

Presents for Christmas included Beard Baubles and R.

Along with a green Vietcong pith helmet, a brown suede hood and a bag full of Wee Willie Winky Hats.

Its a Cracker

The cracker hat is usually made of thin tissue paper and shaped like a crown.

These hats have fallen out of most Christmas crackers since the early 20th century, along with mottos, love notes, gifts and many a bad joke.

The first Christmas cracker was based on a novelty bon-bon developed by a London confectioner Tom Smith which made a bang when opened, he and his company eventually developed this into the gift delivering item we know today as the Christmas Cracker.

Tom Smiths sons who took over the business when he died eventually where the ones who introduced the hat into the cracker.

Santa hat

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM RICHARD IN A HAT

I have no photographic evidence to prove Santa Claus ever wore this style of hat, but I've seen enough Christmas films to know its true.

Not having a Santa costume I had to improvise with photo shop
